Hari Wanita Sedunia PosterIn

Forum “Tuntut Semula Ruang Kita” ini dianjurkan oleh Jawatankuasa Perarakan Hari Wanita Sedunia (Women’s March MY) dengan kerjasama Malaysia Muda.

“Tuntut Semula Ruang Kita” merupakan slogan rasmi Women’s March MY tahun 2018.

Panelis:
– Wakil daripada Empower, sebuah organisasi hak asasi wanita
– Wakil daripada wanita orang asal
– Wakil daripada Sentro, organisasi hak pekerja migran

Moderator:
– Ain Nasiehah (Malaysia Muda)

Forum ini adalah forum dwibahasa (Bahasa Melayu & Bahasa Inggeris)

“Tuntut Semula Ruang Kita” forum is organised by the Women’s March Malaysia Committee, in collaboration with Malaysia Muda.

“Tuntut Semula Ruang Kita” or “Reclaim Our Spaces” is the official slogan for Women’s March Malaysia for 2018. Traditionally, International Women’s Day is the day when women go down to the streets and fight for rights and equality. International Women’s Day is a symbol of women’s struggles, for more than 100 years. Women are still seen as having a lower social status, compared to cisgender men. Thus, women are still exposed to mental and physical violence every day.

This forum will discuss about safe spaces, and spaces for women and people of other genders to express themselves and realise their potentials, without being bogged down by stigma.

Panelists:
– Representative from Empower, a women’s rights organisation
– Representative from indigenous women
– Representative from Sentro, a migrant workers’ right group

Moderator:
– Ain Nasiehah (Malaysia Muda)

This is a bilingual forum (Malay & English).
